In last month’s update, Thinking About Thinking, I shared a technique for transforming limiting thoughts. I would like to build on that technique, offering a doorway to lighthearted living.

Begin by sensing your heart chakra as a large plane of light. It expands out from your body in all directions. It is infinite. Sense as much of it as you can without straining. Hold the image gently, again no straining and no forcing it to conform to your mental image of what it should be. Stay with this for a little while, then keeping an awareness of your heart chakra plane, turn your attention also to your third eye chakra. Sense it as an infinite plane of light, floating above your heart chakra.

Sense the space between the heart chakra plane and the third eye plane. It is the energy upon which the third eye chakra floats. Feel your heart chakra plane expanding even more and notice how it impacts your third eye chakra plane. Feel more light and ease in your heart chakra plane and notice how it impacts your third eye chakra plane. Notice how it impacts the energy between the heart and third eye chakra planes. In the floating energy between the two planes you can find an opening to a feeling of ease and clarity. As you experience the ease and clarity, you also synchronize your heart and third eye chakra planes. It feels incredible and it leads to greater lightheartedness and clarity in your day to day experience, long after you do this activity.

Regarding the space between the two planes, you can enjoy the experience of it, and the clarity and lightheartedness, but you can also use it as a portal. If you enjoy exploration of consciousness for the sake of exploration, or if you want a fun adventure, sense the portal and go through it. Because it comes from the synchronization and lightfilled expansiveness of heart and mind, it is a stable and empowering place from which to meditate and journey.
